Engine
How it runs
Tell us how the engine starts and pulls, and about any smoke, warning lights or limp mode. EGR valves, DPFs, injectors and turbos are the usual suspects on a hard-working diesel, and a garage report helps us price fairly.
This is what we look at on every Caddy, and what is worth telling us, so your offer is right first time.
Engine

Gearbox
A Caddy that does short trips and lots of town driving wears its clutch and dual-mass flywheel. On DSG vans, jerky changes or a flashing gear display matter. Tell us what you notice.
Load area
Photos of the load area tell us a lot. Racking, ply lining, a bulkhead and a tow bar can all add value, and dents in the load floor or side panels are expected on a work van.
Body
Light damage and old sign-writing are part of van life. Bigger dents, rust or previous accident repairs should be in the photos so the offer does not change on the day.
Version
Tell us whether it is a panel van, Kombi, Life or camper, short wheelbase or Maxi, and the trim. Air conditioning, cruise control, sat nav, parking sensors and 4MOTION all count.
History
A folder of invoices makes a Caddy easier to value. Mention timing belt changes, clutch replacements and gearbox work. Fleet service printouts are fine.
This page explains what we look at when we value a Caddy. It is not a price guide: every van is valued individually, free and without obligation.

It helps, but it is not essential.
